If anyone is looking for a similar type crop sweater at a reduced price point, Old Navy has this style in several colors. I grabbed a couple to have on hand.

Right? My Bostons are gross but they're so spendy that I can't justify a new pair AND a pair of loafers. Thinking about these cute cheapies: https://www.dsw.com/product/kelly-and-katie-bala-loafer/559603?activeColor=007

I am wondering how the “new” Quince will work out for you, please keep us updated!

And I know that figure flattery is not supposed to be the be all end all of what we look for when shopping in these modern times, but I feel like the ubiquity of boxy cuts and dropped shoulders is just brands cheaping out on tailoring and manufacturing so I still hate supporting them with my $$.

I have those black Sam Endleman loafers & I was so surprised with how they required no break-in time for me. They were truly comfortable from the very first time I wore them. I don’t wear them as much lately, just because I have some other loafers that look a bit different (also Sam Edleman)—more of a traditional loafer style in a black suede. They have a more casual look, which works with more of my outfits right now. But, they too were perfect the first time I wore them. I’m not sure how SE pulls that off. Most shoes I wear always need a break-in period.

As a fellow Virginian who transplanted to Augusta, GA a year ago, I enjoy your Richmond references. I was from NOVA, but went to college in the Shenandoah Valley, and visited friends all over the state during that time long, long ago. Have you considered the Coach Hadley loafers for a Gucci dupe? That’s what I bought my freshman in hs daughter for back to school uni shopping. They are a nice quality of leather.

That dark green is excellent! I have to stay away from anything labeled as boxy, as I'm already boxy enough, thank you. Loft also has a great pair of utility pants- in a dark green! I bought them last year in a deep gray blue, and I can't wait for it to be cool enough to wear pants again.
