Oof, I feel for you! I've had one, and the prep is the worst part, to be honest. (I've had endoscopies in the double digits at this point and it is just a nice nap with a sore throat and chest after). Hope it all goes okay for you!
I got the best advice for the prep last time around, use a straw to get that s*** to the back of your throat and into your stomach! I used a boba straw, which is even faster. Then rinse your mouth immediately or have a small swig of 7up. I ate Jell-o and that was like a taste of childhood.
Good luck with the colonoscopy! I had my first one several months ago & everyone told me the prep was the worst & hardest part. They were right. It’s yuck. Treat yourself to something yummy to eat after you wake up.
I had my first colonoscopy 18 months ago and I agree, the prep is the worst part. Good luck, and I do encourage you to share because the more people realize a colonoscopy is the most boring yet rewarding medical procedure the better.

Love the shirt! Cheers to you and your soon to be squeaky clean colon!

I had pills instead of liquid which made that part a lot easier!

I also found Anne Helen Petersen’s piece on her colonoscopy super helpful so I’ll leave that here for any deep divers to compare and contrast https://open.substack.com/pub/annehelen/p/welcome-to-colonoscopy-land?r=4l7e&utm_medium=ios
This is great, thank you!
Yikes! Do tell. I’m waiting to be scheduled for one and need all the help I can. 😳
I had my first one last year. It was quite the experience. Hopefully there are no surprises in there!
The lack of food feels heartbreaking. It's actually funny how SAD it's making me.
