It’s a lot right now, isn’t it? Good luck setting in & unpacking. Your new area, with the walkable downtown, sounds like a great place to be.

I just moved to a new state 6 weeks ago so boy do I know this feeling. I've moved cities a handful of times and was really excited about my new place. But man it's still brutal! I've been overwhelmed by the newness of everything. It's the small things - the Trader Joe's has a different layout, new neighborhood to navigate, new yoga studio with new teachers, new birds in my yard, even the weather feels different and weird. Cumulatively these things have me feeling quite unsettled and missing familiarity. I'm finding it helpful to start forming routine quickly. I picked a yoga teacher and went to her same Thursday night class 3 weeks in a row. I've gone to the same coffee shop every Saturday morning. Trying to find some familiarity.

The pictures you’ve posted on instagram make the town look very charming, but I can remember how disorienting a new town can be. I hope that very soon you’ll feel like you’ve lived there for ages.

When you get the chance, go visit my friends' store Wiloe (Plaza Midwood, 1520 Lyon Ct.)! The store is super cute, but Karly and Tanya are also cool and friendly and will be quite welcoming and no doubt have lots of good Charlotte info to share. Tell them Priscilla sent you.
