Those barrel jeans from Madewell are really cute! I recently got a pair of chino barrel pants from BR Factory, as my way of trying this style out. Question about the jeans—did you go with standard size or petite & how tall are you? I’m 5’4” so I can often go either way. Thanks!
I love barrel jeans. Tibi sids are my favourite, but they are expensive. I have Free People Good Luck Barrel Jeans, and I like them, but I wish I had held out for a tall size with a longer inseam.
I have embraced interesting shapes rather than flattering fits and I feel pretty good about it. Sometimes I try to balance the outfit (smaller tee with big jeans) and sometimes I just go big with big.
I just tried TrendSend by Evereve and got my first box today and it had a pair of barrel jeans in it and I really like them. They’re more than I usually pay for jeans but they fit and I like them so I may keep them.
A lot of the barrel jeans are maybe too much for me, but I am kind of into the Madewell baby step into barrel legs idea. I might need to go try those on in person. . .
I also want to see the dresses for sure. I ordered (and kept) the J. Crew Capitaine shirt dress for some upcoming trips and don't need more dresses but also 100% want to see what you've found.
I bought a pair of Pilcro barrel jeans from Anthropologie in March and have never looked back. I call them my stupid jeans and I love them. I am buying the Everlane version in rosewood as soon as they come back in stock.
Girl, you do NOT have tree trunk legs. You have great legs! I get what you’re saying about jeans being a struggle because you’re tall and I’m sorry. But I will not have you talk shit about your amazing legs.
Unfortunately, I am still struggling against the idea that clothes must be flattering. I hate it. I want to be freeeee. Sigh. I loooove the look of barrel jeans, but I have a feeling that they would be something I would buy and would put on and then take back off every time I tried to wear them. Maybe it's because I just haven't tried any on. They look great on you, so that makes me feel like I want to try them.

I'm wearing the standard size and I'm 5'5".
Thank you!

Yes to seeing the dresses please!

Oh, yay! I need more information - what brand?
Currently trying to decide whether I want to keep this skirt. It’s a little shorter than I normally wear but it fits really well. https://evereve.com/margo-zip-mini-skirt-60049-c
The tag says Ever Vintage Barrel.

Jeans are so hard. Since I have sturdy tree trunk legs, giant calves and am 6’ tall, it’s just tough. I hate them all.

lol! Thanks. They are certainly useful and I am grateful for their service.

Try the Madewell version if you get a chance! They're a great starter barrel jean.
