OMG, that house is so beautiful!! I wish you years of joy in it. Keeping my house super tidy while selling was a nightmare, but I admit that I did enjoy pretending I was THAT PERSON. Looking around now, seeing an assembled wall shelf sitting on the guest bed waiting to be hung and a box of drill bits is abandoned under a chair, I know I am not.

Oh hi, other Roberta. There aren't many of us. We need to stick together. ;-) (I thought for a second I had already commented on this post and just...forgot? lol)

I think I know which neighborhood you will be in CLT -- it is indeed super charming and walkable! Wait till you see it at Christmas! (I don't live in CLT but have family there.) So happy for you that you found THE house.

These aren't traditional mary janes, but I love my red dansko clog sort of mary jane sandals. Looks like Amazon (boo!) is the only place that still has red: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CKD4VDSG/ref=twister_B005DVIFAI?_encoding=UTF8&th=1&psc=1

I am here to share that the Vivaia stretchy red Mary Janes are actually worth the (old pre-tariff) price and not a Chinese scam. Hopefully they go back down to $98.

Thank you! Those follow me around the internet but I wasn't sure if they were good or not.

Was going to suggest the same! I don't have them but I do have a pair of their boots which I happened across at a thrift store. They were a GREAT find! VERY comfortable and sturdy. I also like how their version of the Mary Jane has an actual buckle that you can adjust as opposed to an elastic across your foot... if I walk a lot, that tends to start getting tight on my hooves, personally. I like the option to make it as loose or tight as my annoying feet need. :)

OHHHHHHHHH that house!!!!!! It is dreamy - exactly the kind of thing I’d fall instantly in love with even if every other house on the block were a meth squat! Enjoy and live well there. 🥰

My first house was very much like that bungalow! Congratulations, and many happy years in it!

The Dansko Rowan is my go to summer Mary Jane.

What a great house. Perfect for you! Good luck with all the details. And I feel you on the red shoes. It's funny because I just woke up one day and through: Red clogs. But they are hard to find. Do a post on your reds when you find them. XOXOXO from Philadelphia

Red flats: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CMQLL6W7?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_5&th=1&psc=1 I purchased these because I wanted to try red, and I swear, I get more compliments than any fancy shoes. I've taken them on vaca and walked the better part of a day in them and they were ok (not as good as sneakers or birks, but not nearly as bad as other flats I've attempted). And, $30. At this point, I don't consider them "fast fashion" because I think my cost per wear is like $0.25.

I was in NYC last week for shoulder surgery, and I swear I never saw so many pairs of black flats of all kinds. Red sounds refreshing! I still treasure my red Birkies

THAT HOUSE IS A DREAM! Love that the perfect place came into your life! Sending all the quick selling vibes your way... I can't even fathom being a minimalist in order to sell... or the amount of things I would have to put into storage just to begin to present that picture! LOL!
