I loved The List of Suspicious Things too! Your description is very accurate. That Pact dress is so pretty & summary. I used to wear dresses a lot in the spring & summer but then stopped & haven’t gotten back in the habit just yet. Part of this is because I work in a middle school & everyone dresses super casually (definitely related to the age range, I think, but also related to the Covid times & how everyone got so much more casual), so wearing a dress makes me feel like I’m standing out too much. But, I’m currently eyeing a linen shirt dress from Evereve & I’ve got a little gift card, plus rewards so, I’m trying to decide if I want to go for it.
I have to force myself to wear a dress, even a super casual one, because it feels too "dressy" so I absolutely get what you're saying! But it makes me feel good when I make the effort, so I'm trying get out of my shorts-and-tee comfort zone.
Putting forth effort is good—I’m going to try that myself today. Forgot to mention earlier that I have not yet watched the final episode of Hacks. I’m putting it off because I’m sad it’s ending. This season has been so good, plus Jean Smart is phenomenal. My plan is to make myself watch it over the next day or too.

I watched it in two sittings because I wasn't ready for it to be over. Such an incredible show.
